Facebook Messenger app now crossed over 800M users making it’s the fastest growing app of 2015 & second most used app. The latest reports are according to According to research firm Nielsen. VP of Messaging Products Mr David Marcus said on Facebook newsroom that “im happy to report that we have made a good step in that direction. And toward the end of 2015, we crossed the milestone of 800M people using Messenger each month. It’s a good number, but we believe we have so much more opportunity ahead of us, and these are still the early days of Messenger”.
After going standalone in 2014 Facebook has introduced many features to its messaging app. Facebook messaging app now supports video calling, money transfer, and no Facebook registration etc. Now Facebook is testing many features like a digital assistant called “M” that operates through Messenger. By this achievement Facebook defeated other messaging apps like Snapchat & WeChat but the clear winner is WhatsApp which is also owned by Facebook. First WhatsApp came up with messaging app & now having more than 900M Active monthly users holding it in the first place.
