Apple registered apple.car and other automobile related domains

Its look like all Silicon Valley tech giants is interested in automobiles, first it was Google & now it’s Apple. Recently according to the news reported by MacRumors apple have registered domains like apple.car, apple.cars and apple.auto. It’s said to be apple has registered these domains in December, but not any of these domains pointing to any sites. Apple has not made any confirmation about this yet.

MacRumors reported this news first & says “The domains could be related to CarPlay, but there will naturally be speculation about their possible relation to Apple's much-rumored electric vehicle plans”. But many reports are there that apple is recruiting former employees from companies like Tesla Motors. It’s possible that Apple is now working on electric vehicles. It may be in first stage & to know more about it we have to wait at least until the site goes online.
